The flavor profile shows lively acidity, strawberry and a nuance of rhubarb. A medium bodied red blend showing tannins that are present, but not overbearing.

Winemaker Notes
The WH tasting room staff often refers to the Five Gen Blend as our "baby BDX" in reference to our top-end bottling of Reserve BDX. Though the Five Gen is also a Bordeaux-style blend, it tends to have a more fruit-driven and approachable flavor profile. Five Gen is our ready-to-drink now version of BDX that typically doesn't require as much cellaring to enjoy it's true potential.
