Subtle fruity aromas of dried cherry are dominated by earthy and spicy notes of dried basil andleather. The medium-bodied palate is rich in baking spices such as anise and clove, finishing with chalky tannin.This wine is deep ruby in color with aromatics of blueberries, fresh violets and leather.
“Coeur d’Est”, which meaning “Heart of the East”, reflects the French heritage of the grapes used in the blend and the fact that the AVA is located in the center of quality wine grape growing in the mid-Atlantic region of the East.
